What should America do in our foreign policy? How should we respond to other nations ?

What should America do in our foreign policy? How should we respond to other nations ? First about the foreign policy, i don't know how America interacts around the world. I know that Bush didn't try to interact with Iraq. I think America interacts with other Nations by the United Nations. I think that we shouldn't get involved in other nations and try to practice imperialism with them right now. If we do try to change other nations then we will be the cause of another world war. The way we should respond to other nations is, being respectful to other nations, and help them out with their problems ,if that nation needs hep. The reason why we should help other nations is because if we need help maybe that nation won't hesitate to help.
